The Power of a Vote

On Oct. 5, 2023 the LISD Board passed a  supporting and promoting a culture of voting. .

When voting for state and local officials, choices have very direct and concrete effects on the daily lives of the community.

The first step to making your voice is registering to vote:

✔️ Update your registration if you have changed names and/or changed addresses.

➡️  Fill out a voter registration application, then print it .

If 100% of educators vote, we can change the outcome of elections. 

The people you elect decide:

1. How much to fund public schools
2. How much time, money, and attention is spent on standardized testing
3. Whether or not to support public education
4. Whether or not to privatize education in Texas

�鶹�� Board of Trustees Elections 
The �鶹�� Board of Trustees is comprised of seven members. All school board positions are elected for four-year terms and represent the entire school district. �鶹�� residents who meet the eligibility requirements specified in  may run for any place on the Board. School Board elections are in even numbered years on the November uniform election date.
